Event Description This interactive ‘lunch and learn’ will ask whether or not WV business owners and leader are aware that tobacco use is affecting their bottom line. The recent Center for Disease Control and Prevention just released a study aimed discussing smoking and business impacts relevant to West Virginia.  A review of the outcomes will also be discussed. Bruce W. Adkins will be the main presenter.  He received a B.S. in Medical Sciences from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, and a M.S. in Human Resource Management (with a public health / health care administration emphasis)
from the University of Charleston.

He has been the Director of the Division of Tobacco
Prevention for the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health for the past
thirteen years. He is currently serving as Southeastern States Regional
Representative of the national Tobacco Control Network, is a member of
the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers Tobacco Issues
Council, and has served the past eleven years on the Break Free Alliance
Coordinating Council (currently the Vice Chair).
